As I look toward 2017 and reflect on 2016, the word that comes to mind is, endurance.
Endurance is the ability or strength to continue, or last, especially despite fatigue, stress or other adverse conditions; stamina. I have endured my struggles and know that 2017 will be a better year, both personally and professionally. I have proven I have the strength to endure multiple hardships and to become a more independent and happier human being.
My 2017 professional focus will be to build better working relationships with my clients and co-workers. I will be responsive to my client’s needs and attempt to anticipate items that will help them in their daily HR mission. I will have an added emphasis on professional education and networking. It’s important to keep updated on new and pending legislature. Having knowledge of future human resource changes will make me a better HR professional. As a result, I will provide better service to our clients. I will begin networking. I will expand my circle of human resource associates, thus increasing the visibility of SeeKing HR and becoming a source to others.
My 2017 personal focus will be to enjoy every day. With all the changes and challenges I’ve experienced in the last year, I’ve learned to look for the “happy” in every day with those around me. When things are difficult, the best way to move forward is place both feet on the ground and keep facing forward. I will surround myself with the people that matter most. And I will find a reason to smile every day.
